Chisapani, location (2100m above sea-level) has enough potential to be one of the famous hill station of Nepal from where a drastic range of Himalaya can be viewed including Mt.Annapurna(at 8091m, located at Himalaya), Mt Macchpuchra , Mt. Dorje Lhakpa and Ganesh himal. Besides, Helambu and other naturally beautiful villages like Rinzen are also the scenic victims of any trekkers watching at the eastern hills from the hilltop. Moreover, the astonisingly challenging cool weather and awesome environment deepens the indulgence of watching the beauty of the nature from the place. Talking about weather, Chisapani remains a cold weathered area as it is situated at a high altitude. One can experience a foggy climate even at the most sunny time of the day, at around 12 P.M mostly during the winter of December. Alike to Nagarkot, Chisapani is also a good place to experience a fresh morining with a soul-pleasing sunrise view. Besides, cloud watching is a undiscovered activity that can be performed from the place, from anywhere so near from kathmandu.
However, with so much of natural extravagence at the place itself, Chisapani is concerned more as a route for trekkers and locals to various nature-contained places and villages like Helambu and others, rather than as a final destination to enjoy the natural content of the place itself. It is beleived that Chisapani needs a lot more boost of tourism promotional and developmental activity of the place to mould it as a tourism destination.
NESTIF-NEPAL, a Non-governmental organization for tourism development and promotion has done a lot of promotion and enahcement of the Chisapani area to make it a one of a tourism destination. It was mentioned that, it had been only 3 years back that, Government electrical lines were established at the reason. However, it would be foolish to assimilate that the place was remained at dark before that particular movement. It is because, that organization (NESTIF) had already committed in building wind-mill and solar panels for electricity generation before the reach of Government based hydro-electricity. This certainly indicates how forward looking and optimistic was the organization itself in concern for developing Chisapani location as centre of tourist attraction.
Chisapani can be reached via two kinds of trial from kathmandu or more specifically from Sundarijal, i.e. the trekking trial and the offroad trial. The trekking trail takes about 6 hrs to reach till the place, whereas the vehilce trail takes 2hrs (approx). But literally speaking, the trekking trail has its feature to be called as that name, whereas, the vehilce trail really needs a lot of committed construction. There is a diversion point, that exhibits a two trails for Nagarkot and Chispani as we move from the offroad trial at XXXXm. Technically, NESTIF-NEPAL, an NGO has constructed a wooden banner, that shows the direction to the respective two places. Both the off-road trail and the trekking trail provides enough natural experience along the way. Specifically speaking, the route provides scenic beauties of a magnificent river, a beautiful lake, a plain-terrained grassland and of course the views of strongest and the greenest virgin hills. And as a part of a value-adding man-made intervention, NESTIF-NEPAL has generously buid rest-areas and water sources at various neccessary places of the route, in order to make the travel more fun and comfortable.
Technically, Chisapani solely lies inside the territory of Shivapuri National Park. Therefore, the rules and regulations of Shivapuri National Park is applicable in the place as well. It also means that there shall be no pitched road at the road-side of the place. Well, it is a one good way of perserving the beauty of nature, as being said by a local citizen of Chisapani. Besides, Shivapuri National Park covers a wide-range of area of about 144 sq km around the place. Not to mention, Shivapuri National Park is responsible for all the wild-life, plants and trees and environment of the place that it covers. The valuable assets of Shiva-Puri National park can be claimed by its containment of mammalian wilderies like Himalayan Black beer, Jungle cat, Leopard and Rhesus monkey. Besides, it also contains wide variety of 177 species of birds. Similarly, the place also contains a small monastry which can be reached with a 15-25 minutes walk towards the north from the mainland hill top (where the lodging facilities are located). Similarly along the way to the monastry one can see the area-office of Maiti Nepal, Nuwakot, Area-office of NESTIF-NEPAL and the DDC milk collection center, where locals of the downhill villages come to deposit the milks from their respective homes. However, at the other southern direction from the mainland hill top, one can see the military barrack where a platoon of Nepalese Army reside. Besides, there is a small helipad located nearby the barrack.

Well, besides trekking and, any traveller can also practice tenting, cycling all the way till the route (the off-road was actually a cycing trial before it was further expanded), sunrise & sunset viewing, cloud-watching and camping with bondfires. Not to mention, there are hardly any area in the place that can hold more than 9-10 people for tenting purpose. Similarly, security is also a major concern. Talking about loding and food facilities for tourists staying for more than a day, one can always find 3-4 hotels at the main hilltop with required room and other facilities with nominal costs.
